Morning/afternoon: Arrival at Schiphol airport; transfer to hotel/private accommodations
Check in at the hotel/private accommodation

From 18:00h:welcome at the private home of Johan Riemersma, study circle participant and his wife at Stadsring 49; 19:30h dinner

Wednesday, June 3

09:30h- 12:00h: Visit to the care- and nursing home De Lichtenberg:
09:30-10:15h - introduction care for seniors
10:15-10:45h - tea/coffee break
10:45-12:00h - tour around the institution
12:15h - 13:15h: Lunch
13:45h - 15:30h: Visit to Ravelijn Volunteers Centre: info about volunteering by seniors and the Sensorproject by ms Wilhelmien Hazelhoff
16:00h - 17:30h: Volunteers’project De Waterlijn, host mr Jan Vennekens; boatttour around the canals
18:00h:Dinner at the De Expeditie centre (vegetarian only!); introduction on the municipal senior citizens policy by ms Ineke Hooijschuur; sing along

Thursday, June 4

09:30h - 12:00h: Visit to the senior citizens’ housing project Puntenburg:
09:30-10:15h - information about the project’s care format
10:15-10:45h - tea/coffee break
10:45-11:30h - tour around the living quarters
11:30-12:00h - info on new Dutch law on social support
12:30h - 13:30h: Lunch
14:00h - 16:30h: Visit to Armen de Poth beguinage;
14.00h-14.30h - tour around the beguinage
14:30h-16:00h - Futeurope participants’ meeting, discussion
16:00h - 17:00h: Shopping time in inner city
17:00h - 18:45h:Visit housing community Bloemendalse Buitenkade; host ms Isabel Terpstra, study circle participant: reception, visit of an appartment; drinks
19:00h - 21:00h: Farewell dinner at Humphrey’s restaurant; musical performance

Friday, June 5

10:00h - 16:00h: Seminar on ‘Education by and for seniors in Amersfoort and Europe’ at Leerhotel ‘Het Klooster’, Daem Fockemalaan 10, Amersfoort
Late afternoon / Departure from hotel / private accomodation; transfer to train station
evening and Schiphol airport

  1. It seems that a great deal of thought has gone into planning this final mobility visit.

    I am sure the visitors from the UK will have an interesting, informative and lovely time
